#201 A little patience goes a long way

But I was one of the many unfortunate people in the Midwest to be hit by the huge ice storm. I was out of power for a few days. It was a experience to remember. Trying to stay warm by a gas stove. Which was a blessing since many homes these days are fully electric. But I spent a lot of nights reading and drawing by kerosene lamp. I do not know how people were able to do that back in the old days. And my arms are a bit more toned out I think, because I have one of those batteryless flashlights. That work by shaking it. I thought a generator blew up the first night, but it turned out it was a huge limb breaking off a tree. For a couple days it sounded like shotguns going off around the house. But the electric is back on, and I am more grateful of what luxuries electricity brings (especially video games). And hope any other readers out there that was affected by this has their electricity on now, to be able to read this. Keep warm.
